BP store clerk gunned down

Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a clerk inside a Dekalb County gas station food mart.

Channel 2's Darryn Moore spoke to detectives at the BP on Cedar Grove Road near Ellenwood where the killing occurred. The shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m.

Police said there was one other employee in the store when two gunmen came in, but he told police he was in the cooler stocking drinks.

Police said the 39-year-old victim was shot in the chest and taken to Grady Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The gunmen ran away from the scene. So far, there’s no description of the shooter. Officers hope store surveillance caught the crime on tape.
