Body found inside Martin Luther King, Jr. High School in Dekalb County; Students relocated from 'crime scene'
DeKalb County authorities have confirmed that a body has been found inside Martin Luther King, Jr. High School.
The discovery was made early Thursday moing. Authorities confirmed to reporters the man, identified as 52-year-old Anthony Jacobs, was of a night custodian.
DeKalb County law enforcement officials are treating the situation as a crime scene.
Ninth and 10th grade students will be relocated to Arabia Mountain High School (6610 Browns Mill Road, Lithonia) and 11th and 12th grade students will be relocated to Southwest DeKalb High School (2683 Kelley Chapel Road, Decatur).
There will be buses at MLK to take students to their assigned schools. Parents may take students to their respective schools. Regular dismissal schedule will be in effect this afteoon.
