Big Brother 2 Food Mart clerk Ajit Pandey shot dead in robbery

Atlanta detectives looking for the killer of a convenience store clerk. The victim was gunned down late Sunday evening at the Big Brother 2 Food Mart on Norwood Road in southeast Atlanta.

Police say the store owner found the victim, Ajit Pandey, around midnight near the front door. Multiple shots were fired during the incident. Investigators don't know exactly when the crime took place, but they hope store surveillance video will help answer that and other questions. They say the store closed as normal around 10 p.m.

Despite the Pandey being alone at the time of the murder, police interviewed a woman who may have seen the killer leave the scene.

The property landlord calls him a friend and says he moved to the United States a few years ago. He was helping out his friends at the store.
