Bibb County woman Tenita Shoats kills husband during argument
BIBB COUNTY, Ga. - Bibb County Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman for fatally shooting her husband during an argument
Authorities say Tenita Shoats, 45, is charged with murder in the death of her husband, Veon Shoats.
A news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to report of a shooting at the Hidden Lake Apartment just before 6 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, Veon Shoats, Sr., lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley just before 7 p.m.
Authorities say Shoats and her husband had an argument that tued physical before the shooting. Mr. Shoats was shot once in the head and chest, deputies said.
Mrs. Shoats remains in custody at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. No bond has been set at this time.
