Beyonce's Instagram faux pas - Tasmania is not a country
Beyonce posts artistic photo on Instagram with a ‘Miss Tasmania’, fans say it’s not a country

BEYONCE has posted an artistic illustration on Instagram which fans have criticised, saying it incorrectly depicts Tasmania as a country.

The photo, posted by Beyonce today, is of a drawing featuring five women wearing beauty pageant sashes with their countries clearly visible.

A “Miss Tasmania” is seen among the others “Miss Sweden”, “Miss Italy”, “Miss Greece” and Miss Taiwan”.

Those who saw the post have replied to Queen Bey on her Instagram photo correcting the singer, saying Tasmania is a state not a country.

Eda–Adar wrote: “miss Tasmania? ahaha that’s not a country.”

Skye Creighton wrote: “Tasmania is a state in Australia so wouldn’t it be miss Australia.”

Another Instagram follower, beautifulcp posted: “Tasmania is an island state, part of the Commonwealth of Australia, located 150 mi to the south of the Australian continent.”

It is not clear where Beyonce got the illustration from, nor who the artist is.
