Barrow County man Kevin Richard Harrison arrested in wife’s murder

Barrow County detectives say they have arrested a man in the shooting death of his wife over the weekend.

Investigators say 36-year-old Kevin Richard Harrison called 911 and told the dispatcher his wife accidentally shot herself in the head at their home at 763 Moss Side Drive on Feb. 28. Heather Marrie Harrison was taken to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead hours later.

After investigating the scene and talking to witnesses, detectives said they determined that the shooting was not an accident.

Harrison was arrested for aggravated assault, felony murder and other charges.
