PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a deadly fire at a home in Paulding County.

The flames broke out Monday afteoon on Ivy Trace Lane. Heavy winds caused the flames to spread to two other homes. The homes suffered heavy damage in the fire.

Fire officials say they found a woman's body in the basement.

Members of the family of the deceased woman were out in the neighborhood Tuesday, placing momentos at the victim's home. They say the 43-year-old woman had recently moved to the area from Minnesota. Some say she had difficulty getting around because she was visually impaired.

"She managed," said family friend Rico Sanders. "Knowing the layout of her house she got around. Still needed help with a lot of things."

Neighbors say many of them heard an explosion and then saw the flames spread through the grass to the additional homes.

The name of the victim has not been released.
