Authorities investigate NW Atlanta shooting

Atlanta Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in northwest Atlanta on Sunday evening. 

The incident happened in an apartment on Allen Temple Court.

According to preliminary reports, around 11:30 p.m. authorities got a call saying a group of people were engaged in an argument and shots had been fired.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered that a man has been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Authorities say there were children in the home, at the time of the shooting.

The victim's identity has not been released, at this time. No word on the cause of the shooting. Authorities have not ruled out robbery, as a motive, at this time.
