AUGUSTA, Ga. - Sheriff's officials say a man is accused of throwing a bag full of contraband over the fence into Augusta Medical Prison.

A Richmond County Sheriff's report says 31-year-old Robert Felix was caught by a patrol unit around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the bag contained marijuana, rolling papers, cell phones and other contraband intended for an inmate. Felix told deputies he was paid $700 to get the items to an inmate.

He is charged with providing items prohibited for possession by an inmate. A phone listing for Felix could not immediately be found.
