Jessica Lynn Foshee Becomes 2nd Auburn Student To Die During Spring Break

AUBURN, Ala. -- A second Aubu University student has died during spring break.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said 20-year-old Aubu student Jessica Lynn Foshee, of Roswell, Ga., was found dead in an Aubu townhouse Saturday night.

The coroner said Foshee's boyfriend, who lived at the townhouse, left about 5 p.m. Saturday and retued about 10 p.m. to find her unresponsive. He called emergency personnel. Harris said preliminary tests indicate Foshee died from natural causes stemming from a congenital heart disease.

There were no signs of trauma or foul play, he said Monday.

She was the second Aubu University student to die during spring break.

Mary Beth Goodner, of Opelika, died during a trip to Key West on March 17. Authorities in Florida said Monday it could be six weeks before they have test results to show what killed her.

Police reports indicated the 22-year-old student either fell off from a balcony or fell down a staircase at Pelican Landing Resort. Dr. E. Hunt Scheuerman of the Monroe County Coroner's Office said Monday that toxicology results would help shed light on the death.

Goodner's funeral service is to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aubu United Methodist Church.
