Atlanta woman Dorothy McGlarthery arrested for stealing federal agent's gun
A woman has been arrested for stealing a federal agent's gun and selling it. The DEA agent says he fell asleep in a hotel room with the woman, and when he woke up, she was gone with his gun and his wallet.
Special Agent Peter Feehan is based out of New York City, but he was in town for training and staying at a hotel in Buckhead.
Feehan told Atlanta Police the incident resulted from a bad date with Dorothy McGlarthery, a woman he met on the street.
While Feehan was asleep, McGlarthery allegedly walked back and forth from the hotel room, taken items including the gun and selling the weapon on the street for $200.
Other agents tracked McGlarthery from surveillance video from the car and they found her and the weapon. She faces theft and fraud charges.
