Atlanta woman Anna Armas accuses Uber driver of punching her in the face

An Uber driver is under investigation after a passenger accused him of punching her in the face Saturday night after a verbal altercation.

Anna Armas, from Atlanta told officers that the Uber driver attacked her after she questioned him about taking the long route to her destination. Armas said after she asked the driver a second time, he told her and her friend to get out of the car.

Armas admits to calling the driver a "dumb [bleep]," and that's when the driver allegedly punched her in the face.

The driver filed a police report as well, but the details do not match the complaints of Armas.

The driver, Yero Bandele states in a police report that Armas asked him repeatedly why he was taking a longer route to the destination. He says he told Armas that he was following the directions of his GPS. Bandele states Armas spoke to him in a condescending tone, and when he asked her to stop she refused. 

Bandele says he pulled along the curb at the 100 block of Jackson Street and asked the female to exit the vehicle. The driver says that is when Armas began to spit in his vehicle and insult him even more. 

Bandele states when the rider got out of his car, she left the door open. Bandele says he closed the door, but Armas came back to the car and opened the door once again.

Bandele says when he went to confront the woman, she slapped him. He says he pushed the female and left the scene. He also called police.
