Atlanta Motorcycle Officer Involved In Downtown Wreck

ATLANTA -- An Atlanta police officer is recovering at Grady hospital after he rode his motorcycle into the side of another vehicle Saturday night.

Carlos Campos, spokesperson for Atlanta Police Department, said the officer was involved in a collision with a car at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Centennial Olympic Park Drive shortly before 9 p.m.

Atlanta Officer Curtis Davenport said the car tued in front of the officer's motorcycle, but no charges have been filed at this time.

Davenport said the officer was alert when he was brought to Grady Hospital with a leg injury.
