Atlanta mayor’s staffer Stacii Johnson charged with DUI

The Mayor's Office confirmed that a high-level staffer is out of a job after she was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Stacii Johnson resigned Tuesday after she was pulled over last Thursday by Atlanta officers on Interstate 85 near the 17th Street Bridge. She was driving a Porsche on loan after attending a Porsche function with other city officials.

Police report indicates the arresting officer said he quickly smelled alcohol coming from Johnson’s car window.

”I asked the driver for her driver’s license, and she handed both her license and a business card. Her business card identified her as special events director for the city of Atlanta, the officer said.

The officer said he asked Johnson several times to get out of the car before she eventually declined a field sobriety test and struggled with him as she was arrested.

Johnson now faces seven charges, including driving under the influence, speeding, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and physical obstruction.

She previously made headlines in May when a Chanel 2 GA Daily News report exposed a provocative video produced by and starring Johnson entitled ”I Want to Strip for My Man. Her acting credits also include the 1997 movie ”How to Be a Player.

Johnson was also known as a bundler, meaning she organizes donations to political campaigns. A website for President Barack Obama said she bundled up to $100,000 for the president’s re-election campaign.
