Atlanta Hotels Hit with Shootings
Atlanta police are looking for the person behind a shooting at a hotel in southwest Atlanta early Thursday, November 11.

ATLANTA - The parking lot of two small hotels were sprayed with gunfire as travelers were checking in.

Two shootings in two days at two different hotels have police looking for two gunmen.

Wednesday night a man -- believed to be from north Georgia -- was shot and found dead in the parking lot of the Residence Inn off Piedmont Road. Investigators say that it appears the victim was shot near the back of the building and that he collapsed as he tried to make his way to the hotel's office.

Georgia Newsday reports that sources say the victim was carrying a substanial amount of cash. Police are investigating the possibility the victim's attacker may have known that he was carrying the cash.

Early Thursday moing a man -- identified as Hines Ojutowski -- was shot at the Country Inn and Suites off Pollard Boulevard in an attempted robbery. Atlanta police say a man approached two men around 2:30 a.m. as they pulled into the hotel on Pollard Boulevard. The victims told police the man asked them for change, then pulled out a gun and then shot Ojutowski in the stomach. The suspect then hopped in the victims' red Toyota Camry and took off. Authorities said the car is from Florida.

Ojutowski was last reported to be in critical but stable condition at Grady Hospital.

Police continue to search for the gunman in each case.
