The victim in a beating caught on camera Saturday outside a southwest Atlanta coer store spoke about the incident on Wednesday.

A calm Brandon White, 20, told members of the press during a conference that he decided to come forward after seeing the video of his beating online. In the video, the attackers yelled gay slurs as they punched, kicked and even threw a tire at  White in the beating.

FBI agents joined Atlanta police on McDaniel Street on Tuesday to process the scene and interview neighbors. He said he did not know his attackers.

He also said he did not want anyone else to go through what he did. He told others that may be facing a situation similar to his to face their fears and come forward.

White said he has been a resident of the Pittsburgh community for eight months and plans to go back to school.
