Athens authorities investigate fatal shooting

ATHENS, Ga. -

Athens-Clarke County police are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a 24-year-old man.

According to authorities, the fatal incident happened around 4 p.m. on the 300 block of Lombardy Circle near Dansville Road.

When officials arrived on the scene, Javious Tucker was deceased inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Another victim was eventually located, 25-year-old Cyntrellis Boggs, however his wounds were not fatal.

Athens-Clarke County Police secured warrants for Melvin Lewis Brown. He is accused of Murder, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon.
