Armed Man Robs Henry County Subway Restaurant

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a Subway restaurant at gunpoint in Henry County.

The robbery happened at the store on North Park Trail in Stockbridge on Wednesday around 7 p.m.

Police said a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black skull cap approached the counter and pulled a gun on a clerk.

Surveillance video released by Henry County police showed the gunman startling the clerk, who held up his hands, then opened and emptied the cash register.

Police believe the handgun, which was gray with a black handle, may have been a BB pistol.

Detectives described the robber as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds with a thin mustache. He left the scene in a white Chevrolet Cavalier, police said.
