Amber Nicole Dowell, the president of Walton County booster club is accused of using club credit to make personal purchases.

She was arrested Friday on three counts of credit card fraud. She posted bond, set at $5,700 on each count, and was released the next day, according to Gwinnett County jail records.

Dowell heads the West Walton Football & Cheerleading Boosters, which supports recreation football and cheerleading at West Walton Park. On the group’s website, Dowell is listed as Amber Wimby.

Snellville Police Chief Roy Whitehead said that the department was working with Walton County authorities on the case.

”We’re hoping for more cooperation and to see how far this may go, Whitehead told GA Daily News.
