Adina Parson, Attorney shot 8 eight times moved to Shepherd Center
Adina Parson, 40, (left) was found with several gunshot wounds near her apartment at the Residences at Morgan Falls apartment complex.

Doctors say the attoey who was shot eight times outside her Sandy Springs apartment building is making progress.

Adina Parson has been moved to the Shepherd Center, her doctors said on Tuesday.

Parson is still on a ventilator, but doctors said her improvement is encouraging.

"She's doing phenomenally well considering eight gunshot wounds, just everything that she's gone through. Her picture was very grave…when she was first presented to Grady and now it's a miracle that she's even with us now," said Dr. Anna Elmers of the Shepherd Center.

She hasn't been able to talk but is responsive. She has made eye contact with doctors.

Doctors said it would be a long recovery for Parson.

Her husband, Michael Parson, was arrested in Texas on Saturday on charges related to the shooting. He will go before a grand jury on Friday.
