One woman was killed in a crash involving several vehicles on Interstate 75 in Cobb County on Monday.  The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 south of Delk Road.

According to Sgt. Dana Pierce of the Cobb County Police Department, a 2010 Nissan Sentra lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway, entering the path of a 2003 Dodge pickup truck which was pulling a double-axle trailer. The truck hit the Sentra and jackknifed, striking a guardrail off the emergency shoulder. The Sentra then hit the inner median wall, police said.

The driver of the Nissan, 24-year-old Fatma E. Shalaby, of Acworth, Ga., was killed, authorities said.

The driver of the Dodge and his passenger were not injured, according to police.

No charges are expected to be filed, Pierce said.
