Child, 3, struck by stray bullet

Atlanta police say a 3 year-old child is recovering after being struck by a stray bullet at an apartment early Monday moing.

The shooting happened just after midnight on the 1000 block of New Town Circle SE.

Investigators say the bullet came through a wall and struck the child in the back of the shoulder and is in stable condition at Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Eggelston.

No arrests have been made and a description of suspects has not been released.

The identity of the child is also unknown.
