Rockdale County investigators say a clerk and a customer, both males, were shot and killed inside the Magnet Package liquor store in Conyers Sunday. 

Investigators have identified the alleged shooter as 36-year-old Jeffrey Scott Pitts.

Deputies say Pitts entered the store Sunday afteoon where he then opened fired. Before deputies could arrive, investigators say Pitts fled to the home where he lived with his parents. Investigators say Pitts shot his parents before opening fire on responding deputies. 

Pitts was shot during the shooting and later died. Investigators say his parents are in stable condition after being airlifted to  Atlanta for treatment.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case. None of the deputies involved in the shooting were hurt, but all have been placed on routine administrative leave while the investigation continues.
