A second Georgia Tech student has died following a highway accident in north Georgia. The Georgia State Patrol said Tuesday that 21-year-old Daniel Beard Hickman of Atlanta died Monday night. Hickman was one of three Georgia Tech students riding in a car that ran off Georgia 136 in Pickens County on Friday, struck an embankment and overtued.

The patrol says another passenger, 21-year-old Naren Raghuraman of Princeton, N.J., died at the scene. The driver, 20-year-old Ratheesvar Mohan of Atlanta, and Hickman were flown to Atlanta Medical Center.

State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright says Mohan remained hospitalized on Tuesday.

The patrol says an investigation is continuing.
