19 students injured after buses, vehicle collide in Atlanta

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Police said 19 students were transported to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries when their bus and a car crashed, causing the bus to catch fire Thursday moing.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. on Roswell road at Glenridge Drive in Sandy Springs.

A Fulton County Schools spokesperson said the Ridgeview Middle School bus was rear-ended by a vehicle. It was severely bued after it caught fire.

Sandy Springs Police said the driver of the car also hit another school bus, and nearly 60 kids were on both buses.
