A restaurant worker in Habersham County was airlifted to Grady, after she was shot during a hold up.

Police in Coelia were called to a Little Caesar's Pizza around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Officers say a female employee was about to close up for the night, when she was approached by the gunman at the back of the store.

Authorities say the victim was shot once in the head. They say the woman is in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Police say a witness saw the gunman flee on foot. Police dogs and helicopters searched for the gunman. Authorities continued the search into Friday.

Police only have a vague description of the gunman.

He stands 5'8" to 5'9" and was wearing dark clothing. His face was covered, but police say they believe he is a white male.

Police say the suspect did take some money but did not know how much.

GBII investigators are now looking into the case. They are looking for surveillance video from adjacent businesses in hopes of finding more clues.
