RAPPER will.i.am has been left fuming after airline officials gave away his seat on a flight from New York to China because he was running late for check-in.

The Black Eyed Peas star had been booked on a United Airlines plane but when he arrived at the airport just 45 minutes before take off, he discovered his reservation was no more.

He hit out at customer service representatives via a series of angry posts on Twitter and insisted he would avoid flying with United in the future.

United Airline representatives advise travellers to check in at the airport at least an hour before their scheduled departure time.

Earlier this year the rapper also took to Twitter when he was allegedly kicked out of a first class airport lounge because staff thought his membership card was fake.
