Wheelchair alternative allows Segway-like movement
An impressive alteative to the standard wheelchair will debut this week in Turkey, but it comes with a steep price tag. The new Tek Robotic Mobilization Device, shown in the video above, allows paraplegics to perform daily standing exercises and glide down halls à la the Segway. The price tag? $15,000.
The manufacturer is looking for distribution outlets in the U.S. and Europe, according to Gizmodo.
