Union City Man Taurus Freeman Murdered During Carjacking in Union City

Union City Police said a man was carjacked and murdered outside a gas station early Saturday moing.

The incident happened Chevron in the 4500 block of Jonesboro Road around 2 a.m. Police released surveillance video of the incident on Monday in hopes someone would recognize the gunman.

Investigators said an armed man carjacked and shot Taurus Freeman outside the store. He died Sunday at Grady Memorial Hospital.

The car is a red 2012 Dodge Challenger with chrome rims.
