Tiny version of human brain grown in lab
A scientist at Ohio State University has grown a tiny, nearly complete human brain in a laboratory setting, according to a report from the university.
The brain is only the size of a pea, but looks like a normal brain and has multiple cell types and all the regions of a normal brain - \"equal in maturity to that of a five-week-old fetus,\" according to the report.
They say it could be used as a more effective and more ethical way to test the effects of drug treatments on the brain.
