Three Men Arrested, May be Linked to Highlands Murder of Charles Boyer

ATLANTA - Atlanta police said Friday that they arrested three men who may be linked to the shooting death of 39-year-old Atlanta businessman, Charles Boyer.

Atlanta police made three arrests in an Atlanta crime spree and they join two others already behind bars.

Police said the five men are linked to more than 20 crimes since October, including carjackings and home invasions. Investigators said the five men may also be linked to Boyer's death.

None of the five suspects have been charged in Boyer's death, but police said they are considered suspects in the murder.

Boyer was walking with his girlfriend in Virginia-Highland Monday, Nov. 22, when masked gunmen approached and shot him several times during a robbery attempt.

The robbery happened just after 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Virginia Highland Apartments.

Police say the couple was approached by at least one masked gunman.

Investigators said Boyer's girlfriend, Lisa McGraw, fled back into the building while Boyer struggled with the robber.

Police said that's when the gunman opened fire. Boyer died at the scene.
