The Roswell City Council Rejects Go-Cart Track Expansion

ROSWELL, Ga. - The Roswell City Council has rejected a request by an entertainment complex to build two outdoor go-cart tracks.

The council voted 5-0 Monday night against the proposal by Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.

Subdivision residents and business owners said noise and congestion from the tracks planned along Alpharetta Highway would damage the city's image, make traffic worse and lower property values.

Andretti representatives said the tracks would improve their business and be an asset to the city.

Andretti's already has a go-cart track inside its two-story complex.
