Surveillance video shows suspect in Applbee's killing

Police in Fayetteville wants everyone to take a good look at this video. It shows at least two people in a car outside an Applebee's restaurant.

Investigators think the two people could have crucial information about the murder of a young father. They released video that shows the moments leading up to the murder of 27-year-old Gregory Smith. He can be seen in the video walking out and then locking up the restaurant before heading to his car.

Another angle shows a car, which investigators believe is a 2008 tan or silver Chevy Malibu, driving behind the Applebee's with its lights off. When the driver tus on the lights, one person can be seen in the passenger seat.

The video does not capture what happens next, but detectives believe smith was shot just a minute after he left the restaurant.

Investigators do not believe robbery was the motive. They told News Radio 106.7's Nathalie Pozo tghat whatever the intent was they believe it was pre-meditated.

Police asked anyone with information on the car or the people inside to call Crime Stoppers or the Fayetteville Police Department. There is a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
