Stepfather Joseph Kollie killed during argument over puppy
Police: Man stabbed, killed stepfather in argument over dog

Authorities said they arrested a man who killed his stepfather following an argument over a puppy in Gwinnett County.

Police tell reporters that around 1 a.m. Wednesday,  officers were called to a home on Congress Parkway regarding a stabbing.

Officers said Diamond G. Mason, 23, stabbed his stepfather, Joseph J. Kollie, 51, multiple times.

Police said Mason brought a puppy into the home about a week ago.

Kollie did not approve of this and repeatedly asked him to remove the puppy from the home.

The two had a heated argument over the puppy. At some point, Mason retrieved a couple of large knives and repeatedly stabbed Kollie.
