Son Paul Martin shoots father then turns gun on himself

HALL COUNTY, GA  - One Hall County family is mouing the loss of a husband and son after an apparent murder-suicide that occurred late Saturday night.

Officials say 29-year-old Cameron Clark Martin contacted his family indicating that he was suicidal on Oct. 30.

Paul, Martin’s 56-year-old father, went to check on his son at the residence in the 2300 block of Thompson Mill Road and was subsequently shot.

Hall County SWAT were unsuccessful in their attempts to make contact with the son before he shot himself.

The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
