Authorities in Athens-Clark County are searching for three men they believed helped accused cop killer Jamie Hood hours before he shot two police officers.

ATHENS, Ga. - Authorities in Athens-Clark County are searching for three men they believed helped accused cop killer Jamie Hood hours before he shot two police officers.

Investigators say if they can locate the men, they'll be able to get more details about the events that led to the shootings.

Jamie Hood, 33, surrendered to authorities on live television back in March, following a massive manhunt.

He's charged with killing Athens-Clarke County police officer Elmer "Buddy" Christian and severely wounding officer Tony Howard.

Police believe the men in the sketches helped Hood after he lured Judon Brooks to Hoods' parents' home the moing of March 22. Police say Hood and the accomplices beat and robbed Brooks, tied him up and locked him in the trunk of his car.
