'Sesame Street' is going to teach kids about divorce
Sesame Street to air segment about divorce

For the first time, "Sesame Street" is tackling what happens when Mommy and Daddy — or Mommy and Mommy or Daddy and Daddy — no longer share the same house. Kids, can you say "D" is for "Divorce?" The venerable children's series had planned to run a segment about divorce in 1992, but after testing it in front of a group of very confused, very tearful preschoolers, producers killed the segment. Now, the show is revisiting the issue.

A team dedicated to working on the project has finally completed a 13-minute segment titled "Big Feelings" that centers on Abby Cadabby, the Muppet fairy-in-training. The segment will debut this week. [Source]
