Search on for Missing Gwinnett County Firefighter David Carr
The body of missing Gwinnett County firefighter David Carr was located in a north Fulton County park after an extensive search, Friday, August 20.

Woodstock police are searching for a Gwinnett County firefighter after police say his wife reported him missing Tuesday.

Woodstock police say Colleen Grainger stated that her husband -- David Carr -- left his home Monday and has not been seen since.

Grainger told officers that her husband left the house around noon. Grainger also expressed conces about Carr's well-being, say police.

Carr is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, 240 pounds, with a shaved head with a mustache, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, blue and gray shirt, and brown shoes. He has a tattoo of a razor wire on his right bicep. He could possibly be wearing his wedding band and a necklace supporting local fire departments, say police.

Police say he left his residence in a 2009 white Jeep Wrangler and may be heading to the mountains near Ellijay.

Carr is a firefighter with the Gwinnett County Fire Department and did not report for work Tuesday, say police.
