SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - The city of Sandy Springs will be launching a smart phone app that allows users to snap and submit photos of items the city needs to address.

City officials say they hope citizens will take and submit photos of potholes, graffiti and other problems for the city to look into.

The app -- called CoSSpotter -- is free of charge and will be available December 1. It is available for Android, Blackberry and the iPhone.

Some example of problems citizens could photograph are abandoned vehicles, illegal dumping, broken sidewalks, and dead animals.
