RIHANNA and Chris Brown's stormy love affair looks over but the bad blood between the pair shows no sign of letting up.

The two stars showed their hostility in a series of thinly veiled attacks on Twitter.

According to the Daily Mail, Rihanna started the angry exchange on Thursday, uploading an Instagram picture with the words:

"If I drop all my hoes for you and we still don't work out you owe me some hoes."

It was not clear what the 25-year-old star meant by the tweet, but words suggest she had dropped her friends to be with Brown.

Biting back, Brown tweeted on Friday: "She's not mine if she's everybody elses."

The unpleasant exchange was in contrast to comments Brown made in a recent radio interview where he paid tribute to his ex-love, saying ""I'm always gonna love that person."

Talking to 2Day's The Kyle and Jackie Show, he confirmed the pair were no longer an item, E Online reported.

"I cant be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be."
