ATLANTA - Drivers are getting out of the house and finding out the ice is sticking around.

Some residents ventured out for the first time in three days. While many of the roads are passable, many dangerous ice spots remain.

One driver said after being cooped up for three days, she ventured out for about an hour to go to work Wednesday.

Conditions were cold and icy - so much so that three accidents happened at the same location Thursday: Interstate 285 and Cascade Road.

Some residents were surprised that the roadways still had not been cleared. "They could have been better prepared since they knew the storm was coming," said a driver.
