Authorities leaed about the accusation when an informant contacted police. Hastings doesn’t know if the informant is the same person Johnnie Burmeister allegedly asked to kill her husband.

Hastings first leaed of the accusations Sunday -- the same day Pickens County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to her Jasper, Ga., home in an attempt to arrest her.

Columbus police officers are expected to bring Johnnie Burmeister back to Columbus this week. A Recorder’s Court date hasn’t yet been scheduled, Hastings said.
