Police: Stalker leaving threatening notes at woman's home

Police are asking for help finding a man they say is stalking a Henry County woman.

The woman, who asked not to be identified said that a man who called himself Eric knocked on her door last Wednesday and has retued several times leaving notes on her front and back doors.

"Extremely threatening. He's invaded every aspect of my personal space," she said.

A security camera at her home captured video of the man walking away from the house.

"I had no idea before seeing this home video that I was being watched. Hadn't a clue," she added.

She said the notes at first said she was ”fun to watch and ”beautiful.

On Friday, she said she came home to find a back window pried open and two butcher knives missing. The woman said she also found another note with a clear reference to harming her.

"What's next? You know, I don't want to end up stabbed or killed because of this," she said.

She called police, but said afterward her brother found the man hiding next to the house in the dark and chased him toward woods behind the home.

"The gentleman threw a vial of something that bued my brother's eyes really bad when it broke," she said.

Her brother said the liquid felt like tear gas.

Family members cut down trees behind the house for more visibility.

The woman told police she has never seen the man before.

Major Jason Bolton said they want neighbors to be alert and call if they see the man again.

"We're unfamiliar with where he may have seen her before or why he decided to target the victim in this case," Bolton said.

"I just want him to stop. He needs to leave me and my family alone," the woman said.
