Police: Mom Latoya Tilson charged in son's shooting death

Police say a 15-year-old boy shot, they believe was shot by his mother, has died.

College Park Police say that it happened around 8 p.m. Saturday in an apartment complex located in the 3100 block of Godby Road.

Police say that several juveniles and adults were fighting, when 33-year- old Latoya Tilson shot into the crowd.

Authorities say that her son was hit by one of the bullets. He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. Police say he died Monday.

Police say a second boy, a 17 year old, was also shot in the lower backside. He is expected to be okay.

The Fulton District Attoey's Office is expected to upgrade the charges against Tilson.
