Police are looking for answers after a man was reported missing in southwest Atlanta.

Jennifer Dix says she received a call Saturday night and was told her son was gunned down.

But since then, there's been no sign of Nicholas Maurice Tuer's body or even conclusive evidence of a murder.

After receiving the phone call, Dix tells reporters she called police and they went to a site on Murphy Avenue near Sylvan Road, where the caller told her she'd find her son's body.

Atlanta homicide detectives recovered casings and also found an assault rifle.

But they say without a body, it's hard to determine if the weapon is tied to Tuer's disappearance.

Detectives are looking for tips from anyone who was in the area of Sylvan Road and Murphy Avenue between 7:30 and 9 o'clock Saturday night.
