Police: Hit-and-run driver Antavious Lowe claimed car was stolen

Atlanta police arrested two people in connection to a fatal hit-and-run.

According to police, just before 1:00 p.m. Antavious Lowe and Kim Jungki struck a man walking southbound on Peachtree Street and Trinity Ave.

Lowe and Jungki ditched their Mustang and ran from the scene, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital and passed away.

Lowe and Jungki were arrested at 1919 Metropolitan Pkwy when they called 911 and tried to report the vehicle stolen.

They were taken to the Fulton County Jail.

Lowe is charged with homicide by vehicle, hit-and-run, and failure to yield to a pedestrian. Jungki is charged with Giving false statements to Govement agency.
