Police: Clayton County man Mervin Woodard wanted after setting ex-girlfriend on fire

Clayton County Police Department continue to search for a man accused of dousing his ex-girlfriend in gasoline and setting her on fire.  

According to the Sheriff's office,  Mervin Woodard set his ex-girlfriend on fire, drove her to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police said he then took off in her vehicle and has been placed on top of the most wanted list.

Woodard's ex-girlfriend was still in a medically-induced coma at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Woodard stole the victim's 2014 Toyota Camry with license plate PXU 8530. 

Investigators said Woodard and the victim have a child together. They did not elaborate on what led to the incident.

Woodard is considered armed and dangerous and if you spot him, you should dial 911 immediately. If you have information conceing his whereabouts, contact the Fugitive Squad at 770-477-4479
