Union City police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

The shooting happened Sunday around 4:35 p.m. at a home on Raymond Terrace.

Michael Shane Black, 39, was arrested and charged with murder in the death of Benjamin Netherland.

Netherland, 43, was shot multiple times.

Black was identified as the shooter by witnesses and family members at the scene. He was taken into custody without incident immediately after the shooting at his grandmother's home in Fairbu.

Investigators said Black had an ongoing dispute with Netherland.

Today is Black's birthday.
