Police arrest Grayson man Bryon Winborne for stepdaughter Kysha Johnson's murder

Gwinnett County police say they have arrested a 43-year-old man for the murder of his 26-year-old stepdaughter.

Officers where responding to a 911 call about a shooting at a home in the 1900 Block of Pinehurst View Drive in Grayson around 4:30 p.m. when they found a young woman, identified as Kysha Johnson, shot.

An ambulance rushed Johnson to an area hospital, where she later died.

Johnson's stepfather, Bryon Winboe, has been arrested and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. Investigators said he's accused of shooting Johnson and then fleeing the scene on foot into the subdivision, where he was eventually found and apprehended. 

Johnson’s mother, two teenage boys and two young children were inside the home at the time of the shooting. They were not harmed.

Winboe has been booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
