Police arrest Cormaine Goss, 21, and Andre Ruff following deadly shooting of UGA student

Police have made several arrests following the deadly shooting of a University of Georgia student in Athens.

Police responded to Athens Regional Medical Center after reports of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound on Tuesday.

According to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, Min Seok Cho, 21, died from his wound.

Wednesday night, police arrested and charged Cormaine Goss, 21, and Andre Ruff, 18, with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Investigators believe Cho met the two suspects to exchange marijuana. Cho was shot in the area of Baxter Drive.

Athens-Clarke County Police, the University of Georgia Police, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Clarke-County Coroner's Officer are working together to investigate the homicide.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call 706-613-3888. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that could lead to an arrest.
